The State Administration Council has invited the armed groups to abandon the armed line, calling on them to solve the political issue through use of political means.
This invitation was announced by the Information Committee on 26th September, it is learnt. The invitation states that the ethnic armed organizations as well as the PDF groups should abandon the armed line and endeavor to resolve the political issue either via the channel of party politics or that of participation in the election.
Additionally, the announcement states that the ultimate aim of SAC is to convene the multiparty democracy general election and hand over the power to the party that has won he election.
Despite the promise to hold the election, certain organizations and individuals have chosen the armed line instead of resolving the political issue through the use of political means. As a consequence, the state has lost human resources, state-owned buildings, and the lives and property of he innocent people, resulting in hindrance to stability, peace, and development of the state, said SAC.
SAC, on its part, will launch the census process on 1st October to contribute to the correctness of the voters’ lists, and efforts are being made in preparation for holding he election.
Considering the losses caused by the armed line and terrorism, SAC has invited all armed organizations to join hands with the people in effectuation of eternal peace and national development as well as to solve the political issue through party politics or election channel. They are invited to make contact with authorities concerned, it is learnt.
